28 - Exit Strategy
The exit strategy that I would like to make would probably to sell my business in the next 5 years. I don't see this as a business that I would want to do for the rest of my life, and I would rather get money from this and be able to start more businesses in the future. However, since I'm not as invested in this business as I would be if I were actually starting it right now, I can't say for sure what I'd want to do.
I do not think my exit strategy influenced how I identified an opportunity, but I think it has influenced my growth intentions. My growth intentions that I defined were more of short-term goals that would happen within the next 2 years of having the business. I think I would like to expand the business to those goals before eventually selling it.
Hey Jesse. Based on your response I think you would make the right decision to sell your business in the future. You want to move on to bigger and better things so selling your business would help with this process. You mentioned that your exit strategy influenced your growth intentions. It is also possible that your short term growth intentions influences your decision to sell your business in the future as well.
ReplyDeleteHey there Jesse,
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very logical way of approaching things. Many people are focusing on wanting to grow their business and make money with what they make, but then aren't passionate enough to put in the work. You are clearly focused on bigger things so why not milk the business of what you think will benefit you and then get out of it to move on? It's a smart approach, best of luck.
