8A - Solving The Problem
As I said before "I believe that there is opportunity for a platform sharing company for expensive items that aren't used very frequently, aimed towards college students."
I believe the solution to my problem should be some type of technology that connects students. This could be a website or an app (or both). The good thing about this service is that it would be relatively low cost to make, because I don't need any capital. The way that the company could earn money could be commission based, similar to Uber where a certain percent is taken from each transaction.

I think that this application would be very useful. I think it could also go beyond college students. Perhaps work places and clubs and organizations. Would the person lending out the item(s) get a commission out of it too? Would pricing be similar to rental prices? I believe that the application would be a great hit for school supplies like textbooks and lab equipment.
ReplyDeleteHi Jesse. This is a good concept. I think that if people are going to use this service, you would have to find out if people are willing to pay money, and if so, how much, for this service. There are lots more ways to make money on this if it is going to be an app, such as advertising. This service could be used with other groups of people as well. Really good idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this post. I love the solution you proposed to take advantage of your opportunity. I would not have thought to set the business up like Uber. Making the business commission based is a fantastic idea. I also like the image you added to your post. It fits the theme of the post perfectly. The only feedback I have is the same feedback I had for your last post. I would like to see more detail in your posts. Your ideas are great, and I would like to read more about them.
